about The Yard Food Park
about The Yard Food Park
Shannon Williams dreamed of creating The Yard Food Park while traveling and camping in Oregon. She wanted to build a quintessentially Oregon community space, with the rustic feel and great food for which our state is known. Her ideal for The Yard was to make the location accessible to everyone in Salem, no matter their age.
She brought this idea to her parents and, as a family, they brought The Yard Food Park to Salem. The tables are hand-built by her father, and the play area was created to be the perfect space for children like her daughter. Every food cart was hand-picked to create a delightful and varied culinary experience for each diner, allowing for food sensitivities and personal tastes alike.
Now, the Yard Food Park has eighteen different food carts serving meals for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. The space supports working people by providing Wifi and USB port stations while also furnishing space for families with a great indoor play area and tons of outdoor games. Additionally, this outdoorsy space welcomes all locals with rotating taps featuring locally sourced beers, a full bar, and fresh-squeezed juices.
